Overcoming the Giant

#Honour: Monday Night, June-15-2020

We are studying about Honour, the fifth spirit of God according to Revelation 5:12. God tells us to Honour Him with our wisdom, and our substance [Proverbs 3:9]. He tells us to honour Him and He will honour us [1 Samuel 2:30]. In most cases honour and glory work together. God gave us the seven spirits in a sequence: power, riches, wisdom, strength, honour, glory and blessing. Power makes us to become sons of God according to John 1:12, and we also become witnesses according to Acts 1:8. Riches – you need money because it answers all things [Ecclesiastes 10:19]. Whatever question you have, money will answer it though it might not give you a solution because it’s God who gives solutions. Money gives answers but not solutions. In life you need solutions not answers, that’s why Jesus came and He gave us His identity.

When we honour God, we get solutions. Education gives answers yet learning gives solutions. When God told to the Hebrews to remember Him for bringing them out of Egypt, He was giving them a solution [Deuteronomy 8:2]. When God said in 2 Chronicles 7:14, If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land, He was not giving answers but solutions. We need Him to come down. We need Him to heal our land. There’s a difference between treating and healing. Treating is the answer but healing is the solution. That’s why He says, “…for I [am] the LORD that healeth thee” [Exodus 15:26]. If you turn away from your wicked ways, Prayer and Repentance are the solutions. Therefore, we get solutions from the presence of God.

When we are dealing with Honour, we are able to defeat the giants in our lives. Apostle Paul says, there’s a sin that entangles us [Hebrews 12:1], and that sin is the first giant. The second giant is forgetting. We forget where we came from and why we are here. The third giant is lack of faith. We are dealing with a thief who comes to steal [John 10:10]. He steals faith from us yet faith is the substance, and we honour God with substance [Proverbs 3:9]. Giant four is sight. You always look at things around you and you lose faith because they scare you. If your sight doesn’t turn into vision, you will be worried. That’s why Jesus tells us to have faith as a mustard seed, because with that faith, you will command a mountain and it will move [Matthew 17:20].

The problem you are having today will move because it has to honour God. COVID-19 is coming to an end and it has to die because we stand in faith and we know that our Lord is CAPABLE. You will go through the storm. The fifth giant is your environment. What is surrounding you has dictated your life because of the title you hold, that you cannot even praise God. Circumstances have a way they enter into your environment and reduce you to nothing. Circumstances can attack your mind and take away your spirit which is your joy. Once you know who you’re and whose you’re, you can defeat that giant. The things we face in life are temporal. COVID-19 is temporal.

The circumstances you’re facing are gigantic that’s why you have to overcome those five giants. Situations and circumstances will reveal who you’re, and the kind of person you’re. Circumstances are like mountains. You have to despise those circumstances and look at them as temporal. Circumstances have a way of revealing the evil in us. Brethren, the position you have been given is a seed that reveals what kind of soil you’re. Greatness is revealed in such situations. These circumstances attack your mind and body. They attacked Cain and he killed his brother.

BURUNDI’S NKURUNZIZA: FATHER OF NATION, PREACHER AND FARMER

It is a heart wrecking  feeling that comes with the bad news of the passing of my dear friend, H.E The President of Burundi, Pierre Nkurunziza.

I talked to him on phone a number of days ago about the fake news that’s been  circulating on social media that his wife, Sister Denise Bucumi had contracted COVID-19. With a laugh, he told me that they were both free and that she was just receiving treatment for a condition of which I already have been aware. We then  talked about the transition from presidency to fathering and about the school I built in Kayanza province.

We talked about the need to preach the gospel of our  Lord Jesus Christ and he told me about a crusade he was preparing for this weekend.

This man was a student of good change, dedicated to see that kind of change in Africa’s poorest nation. As his name, Nkurunziza (Good news), so has he been to his country. He built a revolutionary Liberation Movement and became the  Minister of Good Governance to his country. He ushered the country into democracy when he organized and won the first democratic polls ever to be held in Burundi.

A fighter, liberator, leader, preacher, reformer, a father of a nation, a sportsman and a coup d’etat crusher, but my friend couldn’t survive a heart attack! What happened?

I remember a time when I visited him with some friends  from Asia. We were received by Ambassador Albert Nasasagare, who took us to lunch. The president had a football match to play that day, so when we were taken to meet him, we found him in his boots and team jersey during halftime, yet still ready to strategize on national issues for his nation. What a man!

A great gospel dancer and marvelous composer with songs like warakoze Imana Hari’ igihe nzokwilara nkurara I thank you ncurara-nguru daco. There is a time I will sit down and thank God.

He was a talent here on earth, so honorable and willingly gave to God. He’s right now been recruited in the heavenly choir and hes there singing  in Kirundi, my friend, sing! Mr. Presido, wiicare.

Just before he came to close the meeting in Ngozi and to address the crowd among whom miracles had taken place, a little child who was badly crippled and whose mother  sat in the market place using him as a beggar’s tool, was miraculously healed, stood up and walked – Making the prophetic statement that crippled  Burundi can now walk.

My brother Pierre, as president, you broke the curse that plagued Burundi since independence from Nyagoshore to Ndadaye. Before Nkurunziza, no one stayed in power for three years. You broke that.

After having done all that, this is not the way to vacate. You did what the legendary Nelson Mandela did but sadly, you have gone too soon. You are in my generation; just three years young than me. After four hundred years of slavery, after you have seen  the future of Burundi emerge, a few days after we had talked about what to do after COVID-19 lockdown – this is not the way to vacate.

Did you know this was coming? Did you know you were leaving? You prepared your wife to be a pastor, your political party to honor God and your nation to practice democracy and continuity. Why does greatness disappear so quickly?

I received a presidential  from invitation President Nkurunziza to go address Burundi’s cabinet on ‘the way forward for a growing nation’ and to hold a crusade for five days and a conference for four days in Ngozi. I took the best I had.

While there, the Lord told me to pick up a vessel – a bowl designed with glass and gold as an example to Burundi. That Sunday evening, I presented it to the public and to the president, both as a revelation and also as a prophesy of where Burundi has been and where it was headed, to become a vessel of honor. Pierre Nkurunziza has been a vessel of Honour.

“For you have been the glass and gold vessel valuable and transparent.”

In fifty five years, you touched the world, you touched lives and you loved God.

My friend, I remember the following year, I was under severe attacks of terrible accusation by pastors and their recruits. They even called and told you about how ‘evil’ I was, and advised you never to work with me again but you refused to go by what they told you. Instead, you called and told me all about it. You loved and believed in me.

The very week I was heavily investigated, ridiculed  and attacked, you invited me to Burundi and we broke ground for a new school. What a leader! What a man! President Nkurunziza never called me Pastor, not even Robert Kayanja. He called me ‘MY FRIEND.’

You visited our church, planted a tree and preached at the Miracle Centre Cathedral. Your great wisdom, big footsteps, love for our Lord Jesus Christ, your solidarity for Africa and National Patriotism for Burundi will be told for generations. We will tell generations that you left Burundi much better than you found it.

Did you know this was coming!

Your last speech to the Government Leaders was like Moses’ last words to Israel.

To my sister Denise, the former  first lady of Burundi and a pastor, the Nkurunziza  family, the nation of Burundi and her people, Be strong in the lord and in the power of God’s might. He will keep you and make His face shine upon you.

You have my prayers and Uganda loves You

My friend you did well fare thee well

Principles of Honouring God

#Sunday Night: June-14-2020

When you honour God, He honours you too [1 Samuel 2:30]. You honour Him with your substance. God wants your substance even if it’s 1%. He wants your quality and quantity in substance. He wants your faith and discipline.

Saints, God gives us wisdom to honour Him. That’s why He gave us His seven spirits [Revelation 5:12]. Power – to establish His covenant according to Deuteronomy 8:18. Riches – to carry out His plan. He gives us riches so that we can be obedient. Then Wisdom – the wise win souls [Proverbs 11:30]. You need Strength which is built in three areas; spirit, soul and body. Those who know their God shall be strong [Daniel 11:32]. Then comes Honour. You honour God with your substance [Proverbs 3:9]. You honour Him and He honours you [1 Samuel 2:30]. Then Glory, and Blessing. You become a blessing to Generations, and this is the blessing that keeps on blessing.

God said, whosoever honours Me, I will honour. We need to honour God when we are still alive and with what we have. Allow me to use a man whom we all know, the fallen president of Burundi. He was a man of humility and one who honoured God. I know that heaven celebrated his homecoming. He danced for the LORD, preached the gospel, knelt down on his knees and prayed for his nation. That seed will not die.

Isaiah 60:9 says, Surely the coastlands shall wait for Me; And the ships of Tarshish [will come] first, To bring your sons from afar, Their silver and their gold with them, To the name of the LORD your God, And to the Holy One of Israel, Because He has glorified you. Those are promises when you honour God. When God honours you, wealth unspoken and glory will come to you.

May people see what you are doing with your mouth and hands and they will glorify God. We were born to live and to give. The scripture says, For we brought nothing into [this] world, [and] [it is] certain we can carry nothing out [1 Timothy 6:7]. You were born to give and you have to give something.

As I conclude: Heavenly Father, help us to honour You in everything we do. Give us an opportunity to honour You. Give us ability to honour You. You are the ONLY God we can confide in.

Friends, I allow me to end here and I believe you have been blessed with this message.

E-Sunday Service: HONOUR

E-Sunday Service: June -14-2020

In 1 Samuel 2:30, the scripture says, Wherefore the LORD God of Israel saith, I said indeed [that] thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me for ever: but now the LORD saith, Be it far from me; for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed. God will draw a line of what would happen once we honoured Him. He always required your fathers to honour Him, but now He says, ‘if you honour Me’, regardless of whose child you’re, I will honour you.

The bible clearly reveals to us how to honour God. It says, Honour the LORD with thy substance [Proverbs 3:9]. If you honour Him, He will honour you. That’s why He wants you to have life and that life you might have it more abundantly. Honour is the power that creates wealth; that’s why it’s number 5, among the seven spirits of God according to Revelation 5:12. God wants you to fulfill your mission on the earth. He is building mansions in heaven for you and I. He also wants you to have your own mansion on earth; as it is in heaven so be on earth.

Two of John’s disciples asked Jesus where he dwelt because John stayed at the river side and fed on locusts and honey. Jesus called them and showed them where He stayed. He had a home, that’s why he said, they are building mansions in heaven. Jesus said, what is done in heaven be done on earth [John 1:35-39]. When He said, foxes have where to stay but the son of man has no where to lay His head, He was referring to the church because He is the head of the church. That’s why He said, “I will build my church” not a house [Matthew 16:18].

Beloved, God is the ONE who gives honour. You cannot honour or accord yourself. Honour comes from Him. He wants to honour you among your siblings. He honoured Sarah when she was childless. If you stick to the covenant I made with you, I will honour you [Genesis 21:1-3]. One of the principles for honouring God is, don’t take what is not yours. He will give you the best. He is not a liar. He is the God who gives honour. You must give; Sarah gave her husband to her maid who gave birth to Ishmael, not knowing that one day, the sons of Ishmael would save her grandson Joseph [Genesis 16:3, 37:28]. Even God gave us Jesus to give his life for us.

This is how God has promised to honour you. If you honour Him first, He will honour you. He has also decided on how to honour Him; with your substance and with the firstfruits of all thine increase [Proverbs 3:9]. We honour Him with our tithes [Malachi 3:10]. If you’re to honour God, you must do it His way, not your way. He told Abraham in Genesis 17:11 to circumcise himself. He told us in Romans 2:29 to circumcise our hearts. King David had decided to honour God his way and people died, but when he decided to honour God’s way, he danced to the extent that his pants became loose and he slaughtered bulls every six steps [2 Samuel 6]. It is until you’re drunk in the spirit that you can honour God. You have to dance the way David danced. In this generation, we had president Nkurunziza. When it came to prayer, he prayed from his heart.

Saints, we honour God by bringing peace and development. That’s why you must honour Him with your substances. I mean things that are tangible. No president has honoured God like the Burundian fallen president. God has chosen ways to honour Him. He asks you to bring a tithe (10%) in His house. Abraham brought a 10% after he had delivered Lot [Genesis 14:20]. God is your promoter. He is the ONE who causes your face to shine. Once you honour God, you have identified yourself with Him and He will honour you. We honour God while we are alive because our time on earth might be short; for Jesus, it was 33years and the late Nkurunziza it is 55years.

As I conclude: we were born to live and not to die. When an opportunity avails itself, use it to honour God. God wants to honour your family and businesses. That’s why, we don’t do things for fame, but to be honoured by God. We have to reveal to this generation that we honour God.

HONOUR-3

#Friday E-Miracle Overnight: June-12-20

We are still studying about Honour, one of the seven spirits of God according to Revelation 5:12. The reason we honour God is that we recognize that Christ died for us. When we honour God, His seven spirits [Power, riches, wisdom, strength, honour, glory and blessing] are being released to us. Humility is one of the things we get through honouring God. As a student of humility especially when it comes to serving God, I have learnt that humility will open for you doors for people to help you, though sometimes we tend to be arrogant.

In the book of 1 Chronicles 16:26-27, the scripture says, For all the gods of the people [are] idols: but the LORD made the heavens. Glory and honour [are] in his presence; strength and gladness [are] in his place. Beloved, through honouring God, four spirits of God are revealed that is riches, glory, wisdom and strength according to Proverbs 8:12-18 in relation to Revelation 5:12. When you get wisdom, you will become prudent and you will find knowledge by which you will be able to develop witty inventions. Prudence comes from honouring God. You become dependable. I pray that the body of Christ and Africa will come up with witty inventions, and may you be prudent.

When you fear God, you will hate evil, pride and arrogance. Fearing God is honouring Him. I declare: God is about to connect you to great leaders. I have prayed for you that God will give you supernatural wisdom of His law. I have read laws of nations and I have never seen the law that rewards work. Every law which is available is on labor. They never put emphasis on work yet God blesses the work of our hands [Deuteronomy 15:10].

May Jesus teach us how to fear Him. This is what God says to those who honour Him in 1 Samuel 2:30, Wherefore the LORD God of Israel saith, I said indeed [that] thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me for ever: but now the LORD saith, Be it far from me; for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed. From Genesis, Jehovah demanded the entire family (household) to honour Him, and now, He is only looking for ‘an individual’ who can honour Him such that He can honour him too. It’s now individual not household. Saints, humility will teach people to get out of poverty but arrogance can’t. It’s time for Africa to get out of that spirit of arrogance. We must build our communities.

If God said, “Those who honour Him, He will honour them.” Then why are you ashamed of the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ? The bible says, Those who die in the LORD, their works do follow them [Revelation 14:13]. Saints, there’s a heaven and God. We are not of this world. Whatever we do, we must honour God. We must cause Africa to dance for the Lord. When you go to heaven [and I believe you will], they will ask you, you danced in night clubs but why didn’t you dance for the LORD? Burundi has developed that far because the fallen president honoured God. He put God first in everything He did. Therefore, how do we honour God? Proverbs 3:9, Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase. God says, “Honour Me and I will honour you.” The late President Nkurunziza is an example of a man who has honoured God. At 55years, he reunited his country that was sharply divided. He did many things for God, and that’s a great challenge to each one of us.

Friends, I have to end here but I pray that you will learn how to honour God. That’s the greatest thing He requires from you and I. Will you honour God from today?

Honouring God – 2

#Thursday Night: June -12-20

We are still studying about honour, one of the seven spirits of God according to Revelation 5:12. God requires us to honour Him with our substances [something that is tangible] that’s why giving is very important [Proverbs 3:9]. When God loved the world, He gave His only Son according to John 3:16. Everything equals giving. We honour God with our tithe and offerings, and He promises to protect us [Malachi 3:10-11].

For the time I knew the late President Nkurunziza, he was giving. He was a man who honoured God; he was not ashamed of preaching the gospel; he was always dancing before the LORD reminding us of King David in 2 Samuel 6:14. He led praise and worship during the crusades he conducted every weekend. Beloved, when we go to heaven, they won’t look at the car you drove, but they will see how you honoured God. Jesus said, If anyone is ashamed of me and my message, the Son of Man will be ashamed of that person when he returns in his glory and in the glory of the Father and the holy angels [Luke 9:26 NLT]. It’s also about honouring God.

Why do we do what we do? It’s about honouring God. This is the conclusion of the whole matter: ‘Fear God’ [Ecclesiastes 12:13]. The reason why you wake up every day to go and work, it’s not that you’re working for your children but you honour God because those children are for signs and wonders [Isaiah 8:18]. The reason why doctors go and fight COVID-19 is because they honour God. For the past 15years, Burundi has praised the Lord through their fallen President. He was such a great example. If a president could dance for the LORD, what about you?

When Moses was taken away from the children of Israel, Joshua collapsed. Moses just climbed the mountain and disappeared. Joshua never attended Moses’ funeral. Only God buried him. Deuteronomy 34:5-6 reads, So Moses the servant of the LORD died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the LORD. And He buried him in a valley in the land of Moab, opposite Beth Peor; but no one knows his grave to this day. And in Joshua chapter 1, God appeared to Joshua the son of Nun. In other words, God wasn’t going to invent a new WILL but He was going to be with them as He was with Moses [Joshua 1:1-3].

I speak to the nation of Burundi, as the LORD was with your President Nkurunziza, He will be with you. I pray that you will not go back into a sectarianism tendency between the Huutu and Tuusi, that you will be a united nation. We must put our nations in the hands of God like the late Nkurunziza did. Politicians, soldiers and people must know that the strength of their leader is in the hand of God. President Nkurunziza has done his work; he has put the next leadership in place; he wrote a new constitution and has made Burundi a nation among nations. Child of God, what have you done to honour God? We always hide behind our titles but what have you done to honour God?

It’s time we start to honour God. That man was shot ten times but he survived. God protected him because he had a great future. If a president could dance, kneel on his knees, hold the flag of his nation and pray for it, you must honour God! Beloved, never be ashamed of the gospel when they open up churches again. Acts 10:35 says, But in every nation whoever fears Him and works righteousness is accepted by Him. God has put boundaries that we may seek and worship Him. He has determined boundaries of habitation and we are into that during this lockdown [Acts 17:26]. Let’s honour God with the things we have and he will prosper us.

Honouring God

Wednesday Night : June-10-2020

Proverbs 14:31 reads, He that oppresseth the poor reproacheth his Maker: but he that honoureth him hath mercy on the poor. Matthew 25:31 says, When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory.

We have been talking about honouring God, and I want to show you a man who honoured God during his life time. Honour is one of the seven spirits of God according to Revelation 5:12. Honour and glory are neighbors. You don’t have to be ashamed of the gospel if you’re to honour God. The late President Nkurunziza is an example of person who honoured God. He wasn’t ashamed of the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. He used to conduct crusades in his country.

People always ask how do I honour God? You honour God with your substance and your first fruits [Proverbs 3:9]. President Nkurunziza honoured God with his substance. His presidency was the substance he used to honour God. He preached the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and he has left a strong legacy in Burundi. He has left a mark that cannot be erased. Beloved, it’s time for us to honour God with everything we have. It’s time to lead our nations to honouring God and stop all the unnecessary conflicts. We have to win souls for God in Africa because in heaven it’s about souls.

In your capacity as a CEO, a Director, Chairman, you must honour God. When you honour God, He will honour you too. Obed-edom honoured God and He [God] blessed him [2 Samuel 6:11]. President Nkurunziza used to play football, he was a states man, liberator, farmer, revivalists, teacher and he did a lot of things. He lived his life, and you too God wants you to live a full life. I believe you and I can impact this generation and that to come. Wherever you are, let us honour Jesus. Let’s honour God. This man [the late Nkurunziza] honoured God, and he is now in heaven with Jesus whom he honoured.

The bible says, “those who die in the LORD, their works do follow them” [Revelation 14:13]. Child of God, when they will be giving out crowns, I pray that you will be among those who will get because you have honoured God. Jesus said, For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words, of him the Son of Man will be ashamed when He comes in His [own] glory, and [in His] Father’s, and of the holy angels [Luke 9:26]. What will they say about you in heaven and on earth? Did you honour God? I pray that people will know that you honour God. President Nkurunziza taught his nation to honour God, to pray and to work. Mourners are going to speak many great things about him, but heaven will be speaking that he is a son of heaven. He honoured God.

As I conclude: 1 Samuel 2:30 says, Wherefore the LORD God of Israel saith, I said indeed [that] thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me for ever: but now the LORD saith, Be it far from me; ‘for them that honour me I will honour,’ and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed. President Nkurunziza honoured God and I am encouraged… He died at 55 years, see what he has done, and the greatest of all was to serve God. This is the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments [Ecclesiastes 12:13]. It’s time we honour.
