Psalms 91
Friends, I am so excited to share the word of God with you that your faith may be encouraged during these tough times. Recently, the Holy Spirit inspired me to share with you the five weapons that you will use to overcome this coronavirus pandemic which included the promises of God, worship, praise, obedience and offering, and I want us to focus our study on the weapon; “the promises of God.” We must understand the promises of God such that once we stand on them, our faith doesn’t waver.
The bible says, His promises are Yes and Amen [2 Corinthians 1:20], and they never fail. Psalms 91:7 says, A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; [But] it shall not come near you. These promises come in three ways; through the spoken word, the written word and the commands of God. For example, God gave us as a Nation His promise [inform of a prophecy] through Pr. Benny Hinn that there will be a mighty move of the Holy Spirit in the land of Uganda in 2022, and because of that promise, you cannot die now.
Through the written word, He promised to satisfy us with long life [Psalms 91:16] and through His commandments, He said that If we are willing and obedient we shall eat the good of the land [Isaiah 1:19]. He promised not to put on us the diseases He brought upon the Egyptians [Exodus 15:26]. The Psalmist said, the dead do not praise the LORD, nor any who go down into silence [Psalms 115:17]. People of God, these promises will get you from where you’re and take you where you’re supposed to be. The promises of God are one of the weapons you’re going to use to silence coronavirus, and what amazes me is that this weapon has got a song called “standing on the promises of God.”
Say like you mean it: I HAVE A PROMISE.
