We must seek the Lord while He can still be found, but our problem is that we knock at the door when He has already gone or we wait to call upon Him when He is very far. Isaiah 55:6 says, “Seek the LORD while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near.” There are certain things that only God can do. He has protected Uganda and Africa from those huge deaths of covid-19 which were predicted on us. Psalms 91:10 reads, “No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling;” and remember, His promises are Yes and Amen.
I declare, the Lord will protect and preserve you, and His face shall shine upon you. Deuteronomy 31:8 reads, “And the LORD, He [is] the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed.” We must thank God for what we are hearing in Uganda (in regard to Covid-19), and I want you to trust in Him.
Uganda is our house, Africa is our village and the world is our mission. When we talk about our assignment and what God has called us to do, that’s when we receive the divine strength. May God give you the strength and all the tools you need to accomplish your assignment. By serving the Lord, you save yourself from hell and by accomplishing your task (assignment) you position yourself in heaven, that’s why Africa must position herself.
It’s very important that nobody is left behind that we may understand our assignment. Nehemiah 13:30 reads, “Thus I cleansed them of everything pagan. I also assigned duties to the priests and the Levites, each to his service.” You need to discover your assignment, and there are people who have been assigned to speak into your life like Pr. Jessica and I. It’s my prayer that God will assign you a new assignment, strength and position.
This is what word of God says in the book of Jude if we don’t keep our assignments; “And the angels who did not keep their positions of authority but abandoned their proper dwelling—these he has kept in darkness, bound with everlasting chains for judgment on the great Day” [Jude 1:6 NIV]. And if we remain in our positions as husbands, wives and children during this lock down, God will reserve us.
On the map of the whole world, Africa is in the middle of all the continents and God has preserved her. We have not been hit severely with this COVID-19 as other continents. The people who used to sit in darkness have now seen great light, and it’s time for Africa to contribute to our own domain and development.

Purpose and Assignment in reference to the seven spirits of God in Revelation chapter 5. We discovered that under strength that’s where you find purpose and assignment. According to the dictionary, purpose is a reason well as assignment is a task. The purpose why we grow food is that we should not be hungry but the task of growing food is the assignment. The task is on you and many people give reasons to hide in purpose yet the task is missing. The task is what separates men from boys.
Many people don’t want to task themselves because it calls for a personal involvement. When you accept a task, you have taken on an assignment and it must work. When Nehemiah was rebuilding the wall, he told the people, God will be with us and help us to succeed; one hand should work at the construction and the other hold a weapon [Nehemiah 2:20; 4:17-18]. People who have accepted assignment, no matter the condition, they will accomplish it.
Apostle Paul said in Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Purpose and assignment work together. The bible says, “Those who wait on the LORD Shall renew [their] STRENGTH; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint” [Isaiah 40:31]
The aid that comes from the United Nations, IMF and EU is good but it has denied us our assignment. Romans 8:28 says, “And we know that all things work together for GOOD to those who love God, to those who are the called according to [His] purpose.” Where is your purpose? We need to wake up and understand our purpose because our assignment is bigger. King David in Psalms 121:1-2 said, “I will lift up my eyes to the hills— from whence comes my help? My help [comes] from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth.”
Help is strength. God is looking for men to assign tasks. Our assignment is to plan for the future and to preach the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. Those victims of corona virus need to be preached to but the only person they see is a doctor whose mouth is also covered with a mask and can’t speak to them. Our assignment as Africans is to build our countries, and it’s my prayer that God will raise a new force of Africans and Ugandans to do that task. The bible says, “They who know their God shall be strong and do exploits” [Daniel 11:32];
It’s time to arise and think more, It’s time for the church to start producing sanitizers. It’s time to grow more food and buy machinery. I know you have good reasons of not giving your money to the government with fear that people will steal it but we have an assignment today and we must start planning. Soon the world will come to an end and we shall be rapture to meet Jesus. What will be your reasons, will you say you were busy reading newspapers? There’s an assignment that God is giving to each one of us. It’s time to humble ourselves. Mister, this is not time to beat your wife, you must humble yourself; this is time to listen to what you missed in any of the 77 days of glory services. I know of a certain man who survived ten pestilences and that was Pharaoh; they survived and that’s why Egypt still exists today.
God is appointing us for His assignment, some to be captains over thousands and others to be captains over fifties; some of you are gonna find yourselves in harvesting souls while others, you’re gonna be in research. Are you ready for the assignment? [1 Samuel 8:12] This whole bible is full of assignments, and Numbers 4:49 [AMPC] states, “According to the command of the Lord through Moses, they were assigned each to his work of serving and carrying. Thus they were numbered by him, as the Lord had commanded Moses.”
We have been assigned to proclaim the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and to minister love to those hurting in Uganda and Africa at large. It’s time to come back to God and He has given us the Isaiah 58 assignment. If that single mother out there doesn’t get food, she might resort to prostitution and that’s a heavy burden besides raising kids. We cannot allow our Brethren to come out of this lock down damaged and this is where the church comes in [Isaiah 58:6-12].
Lord, I know my purpose and it’s full of reasons, I give reasons why I shouldn’t tithe because I’m not working but today, I’m accepting my assignment which you have given us in Isaiah 58. Make me a commander of 500 or thousands and let me be one of the sons of Issachar.
It’s a great pleasure to have shared God’s word with you on Assignment under the series the seven spirits of God from Revelation 5 and I know, you have been able to understand your purpose and the assignment that God has given you. I want to talk to you about Purpose and assignment, and wisdom reveals it to you. It is my prayer that God gives each one of you a special assignment in this month of May. A special assignment is an incursion that God brings into your business. It’s that interruption that God brings which your physical knowledge and ability cannot afford. The bible clearly says that “all things work together for good to those who love God, those called according to His purpose” [Romans 8:28].
Things are gonna work for your good, but I don’t want to settle for good, I want the best. What gives you the best if all things work out for good according to those called for His purpose is an assignment. Let me give you an example of Mary the mother of our Lord Jesus Christ, her purpose was to grow up as a holy and righteous little girl, find a good man to marry her. She finally found him, got engaged, but in the midst of her purpose, God gave her an assignment. He said, time has come and I cannot find a person who is prepared as you’re, nobody has been interceding as you’re, now you’re gonna be the mother of My son.
In nine months, he will be the king of kings. Kings will come to him with gold, he will have My Spirit, he will proclaim the good news and will heal the sick, rise the dead, cleanse the lepers. He will die and raise from the dead. He will build the church and the devil’s plan will come to an end. That assignment brought Mary three kings, gold met her and her husband who was good was given six years of French leave in Egypt and they became global travelers simply because of an assignment.
When God gives you an assignment, all tools are at your disposal. In this month of May, it’s my prayer that God gives you a special assignment. Beloved, you’re gonna be sent to do things you never used to do. You will be called to manage someone’s finances. I sense a breakthrough in that area of assignment. Today, God has given us an assignment to feed the hungry, of course it wasn’t on our calendar because our purpose was 77 Days of Glory, we were OKAY working and doing what we were supposed to do. Feeding those whom we were supposed to feed, then corona virus came, and the Lord said, Bucket Project and it’s now an assignment we have to do.
For those of you who have watched a movie ‘Mission Impossible’, this is what an assignment is. Mary said, Iam the Lord’s servant, no man has ever touched me and how can this be? This is mission impossible, and the angel said, I am Gabriel who stands in the presence of God. He has to come and you have to take it, for you are blessed among all women [Luke 1:29-38]. With assignment, you are called blessed among all generations to come yet with purpose, it’s for good. Purpose is good, and each one of us has a purpose. I married my beautiful wife [Pr. Jessica], we have children and they go to school which is good, but am tired of good and now I need the best. I don’t want to settle for what others have settled for. The bible says, “He maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust” [Matthew 5:45]
Once you have the seven spirits of God, your purpose will turn into assignment. I have written a book on purpose and you must know your purpose but assignment is the best because you are given all the tools, and the eyes of heaven are on you watching over where you’re going. It’s like you are the seal teams of the United States that was sent to kill Osama Bin Laden while President Obama was watching from the White House. Their purpose was to keep America yet their mission [assignment] was to kill Osama Bin Laden. On mission is where you’re paid more. Jesus’ mission was to be the son of God, the Word of God and One who speaks on behalf of God. He said, am tired of good, I have to go down on earth and when he defeated the devil, God gave him a name which is above every name and at the sound of his name demons tremble [Philippians 2:9-10].
Beloved, we have already talked about power, riches and wisdom [Revelation 5:12] but in special assignments that’s where God gives STRENGTH. Samson was a man of strength and Jesus had also strength but do you know that your thinking can have more strength compared to other people? Strength is in planning, execution and your strength must come from the Lord. Psalms 121:1 says, “I will lift up my eyes to the hills, from whence comes my help?” and verse two states, “My help comes from the Lord.” Help is what we call the support strength.
In assignments that’s where you’re supported, trained and coached. Purpose gives you experience yet assignment trains you at your work. We are on assignment, we are here to kill corona virus and any other virus; we are gonna be paid highly. You must note these two things about special assignment; people are not gonna understand you and they might say that you’re risking your life; you’re not risking your life but it’s the enemy who is risking his life to exist. Therefore, you must have confidence in the authority assigning you.
Second, you must have confidence which has to come from Joy; the bible says, “The joy of the Lord is our strength” [Nehemiah 8:10]. You must be happy that they chose you; King David said, “I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord” [Psalms 122:1]. Your assignment is gonna take you to places and it will be a different level of communication, that’s why the angel told Joseph to fear not, and for six years he was paid without work.

Am so excited to share God’s word with you on Purpose, Assignment and Time. But before we go into this study, I want to first take you through the seven spirits of God which I have been teaching about every evening during the 77Days of Glory Revival services. When Jesus was slain, he released the seven spirits of God on earth according to Revelation 5:6 & 12; whatever God releases, the devil also releases but I want you to understand that what the devil releases are demons. There are certain nations that have taken these seven spirits of God; looking at manufacturing, England, Europe, America, China took it and monopolized it [for you to manufacture anything, you must have their copyrights] yet it has to help the whole of humanity.
The book of Revelation chapter 5 encourages us that when Jesus died, he not only shed his blood for our salvation but to have access to the seven spirits of God. Salvation is a spirit and King David said, “Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me [with thy] free spirit” [Psalms 51:12]; and in the first glory of salvation, he gave us power; power to become children of God [John 1:12]; power to create wealth [Deuteronomy 8:18] because our Father is a creator. Just one spirit of God, salvation is power and don’t underestimate it.
There’s power in the blood of Jesus, in His name, in the Word of God and in Faith; that power is gonna break the chains of bondage, poverty and witchcraft. And after you have become a child of God, you have the power to create wealth then wisdom comes in and strength follows. The bible says they that know their God shall be strong, and do exploits [Daniel 11:32]; STRENGTH. Under strength that’s where you find purpose and assignment. There’s a purpose why you were born, and if someone says you don’t have a purpose, tell them, Jesus died so that I could have life and have it more abundantly [John 10:10].
Once you yield to your purpose, you get strength. Purpose is given to all humans as well as assignment which is given for a mission. There’s a purpose upon each and everyone’s life regardless where you were born. You don’t gain much from your purpose but your family, friends and nation does. Purpose is for the greater good, and Romans 8:28 tells us, “And we know that all things work together for GOOD to those who love God, to those who are the called according to [His] purpose.” Purpose is for the ‘called’ but Assignment is for the ‘chosen.’
Assignment is for the BEST; it is given to the one thought to be the best. Assignments come in seasons; they bring strength; they don’t require money yet with purpose, you work on a budget. Assignments require new equipment and gadgets; you are even licensed to use the devil’s money and that’s why Jesus told us to make friends for ourselves with the unrighteous mammon [Luke 16:9], which means to befriend those who have money and in so doing they will bring their money to help those in need.
The bible says in Ecclesiastes 3:1 that, “To everything [there is] a season, A time for every purpose under heaven:” and verse 2 states, “A time to be born, and a time to die; A time to plant, and a time to pluck [what is] planted;” all these are purposes but they reveal mission. Purpose and time work together that’s why the sons of Issachar were men who had understanding of times [1 Chronicles 12:32]; purpose is for time and assignment for season.
King David had a purpose but he downplayed his assignment when Israel had gone to war; he instead stayed at home and slept with Uriah’s wife and later had Uriah killed. When you miss your assignment, you miss the best. In this time of lock down during Corona Virus when there’s no food, this is our assignment as a church. The reward is in your purpose and promotion is in your assignment. Philip was the first disciple to see Jesus yet he never received the keys to the kingdom, because when he was sent, he only told Nathanael that he had seen Jesus yet his assignment was to tell everybody [John 1:45].
When Jesus found Peter, he asked him to use his boat and Peter gave it. Jesus knew Peter’s purpose that he was a fisherman but he gave him an assignment to push his boat into the lake. Once you obey the assignment, you get new tools; Jesus told him to cast out his nets to the deep, no one fishes at midday, and then Jesus asked him to follow him, and he told him from today, you will be a fisher of men [Matthew 4:19]; Peter was given a new purpose (Fisher of men) and many assignments, and between Philip and him, he was given numerous assignments than Philip.
Purpose is the foundation for assignments. Never settle for good. Strength is what reveals assignments, and where is your strength? No one should ever minimize you because of your strength. We are in this season of lockdown, turn it into an assignment by using the five weapons that God has given us. Promises, Praise, Worship, Obedience and Offering. Beloved, where is your strength? Jesus through Apostle Paul said, “Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?” [1 Corinthians 15:55]; where is your strength, death? And when Jesus was carrying the cross, he asked death where its strength was? His purpose was to die for us but he need someone who had an assignment to carry his cross because he had lost a lot of blood at the whipping post and had not eaten anything.
Simon of Cyrene, a black man was forced to carry that cross, in other words, that black man was the first one to take the blood of Jesus yet the Jews had said, let his blood be upon us. The assignment pushed us [Africans] into the game that’s why revival is in Africa; we are survivors, colonialism couldn’t kill us, wars, religion, malice and envy couldn’t kill us, Ebola and aids couldn’t kill us, and now this corona virus will not kill us. In the movie, the main character doesn’t die and we are not gonna die; we are on an assignment, this is a season to be promoted. Father, I pray for these people’s assignments to be revealed.
