# THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT | Morning Service| May-20th – 2023
Child of God, you are Jesus’ choice. You were chosen by Him. John 15:16, Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
“Declare, I was chosen by Jesus.”
The fruit is ONE and once we fail to produce it, we produce religion and tradition. Moslems are Muslims whether in Saudi Arabia or Germany or Uganda; they all speak Arabic and pray to Allah. There’s one thing about the fruit. It will give you food. Every fruit has sugar in it whether apple, bananas…
What Jesus was saying in John 15:16 is the fruit of the Spirit. Galatians 5:22-23, But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. The fruit of the Spirit is one but in nine expressions.
In other words what He is saying whether you are in America or in Germany, whether educated or not, the moment you come to church, you are going to produce the same thing of which there is no law. Gravity and poverty cannot control the church. Demons cannot stop the church. Whether you are in Africa or Germany, the Spirit has the same fruit, power and anointing of the Holy Spirit.
Today when you go to Bangladesh, the church is crippled. When you go to Africa, the is begging and when you come to Europe, the church is confused. How can we have the same blood, same Saviour, same bible and the word of God and we come out different. We must bear the fruit and this fruit should be the same.
Let us look at one of the fruit of the Spirit. Long suffering, this means don’t give up quickly. In other words, don’t surrender now. We neither quit nor give up. Today, the church is too weak that it gives up quickly. The LGBT stole the rainbow from the church which God gave to Noah, and we need to take it back [Genesis 9:16-17].
In Long suffering, we don’t give up.
In the name of Jesus, our families, children, and Germany shall be born again. In the name of Jesus, Germany belongs to God. Child of God, you can only fight on your ground, and you have to win. In the name of Jesus, Germany and the church will win.
Long suffering means that it’s a long battle or war but at every step of the way we win. And we fight while we are laughing. We laugh because we have the peace. Because we have the peace, we have love which is of God.
Gentleness is a character of a dove. That’s why gentleness came and sat on His shoulder [Luke 3:22]. The bible says that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing [Isaiah 10:27]. So, gentleness comes to someone who is no longer a slave, bound and suffering. When the Holy Spirit comes upon you, the bible says, and the government shall be upon his shoulder [Isaiah 9:6]. Gentleness means and the government shall be upon his shoulder. Do you know why the Holy Spirit came upon Jesus’ shoulder? So that He may whisper in His ear. The Holy Spirit is at your shoulder telling you what to do; I love you, I believe in you, you will defeat the devil and don’t give up, God is coming, and I am here with you.
The English word Gentleness means power under control. A gentle man is bound by his word, and it is revealed in Psalm 15. Verse 1, Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill? Verse 2, He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart. Verse 3, He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour. This has been a cancer to the church.
We don’t talk by our mouth but rather with our knees.
Verse 4, In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoureth them that fear the Lord. He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not. This is where you find out gentleness.
Even if someone doesn’t belong to my fellowship or organisation but because he’s a man of God, I will honour him. The bible says, honour your mother and father that your days may be many [Exodus 20:12]. God never said respect them, but He said HONOUR them. Whether your father is a drunkard or no good father, honour him because he is your father.
Psalms 15 reveals the Spirit of Gentleness, power under control.
