#8:30am E-Sunday Service
In the book of Luke chapter 11, Jesus reveals the relationship between the Father and Himself. He states that, When you pray, say: “Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as [it is] in heaven” [Luke 11:2]. Your next level in life, saint, is determined by the relationship you have with God. If you don’t acknowledge Him as your Father, your children will be the ones to benefit from Him. When you’re in trouble, it’s the Father who pulls you out of it.
Child of God get ready, the Father’s kingdom is coming down to invade your house, and His will is going to be done in your life. The scripture says, Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights… [James 1:17]. That is His will. Get this: the Father is the One who honours us when we honour Him [1 Samuel 2:30]. So, how do we honour the Father? We honour Him with our substances and with the first fruits [Proverbs 3:9]. He is the One who takes care of us.
You who has no father, God is your Father. He is the Father to the fatherless. Say like you mean it: I have a Father and He will take care of me. [Psalms 68:5]. Identify yourself with God and make Him your Father. Some of you have been rejected, oppressed and mistreated by your earthly fathers but identify yourself with God. To those with fallen fathers, I pray for you that God will become your father.
You need a spiritual father who will also speak into your finances. Fatherhood is a command. Joseph was commanded to take care of a baby who wasn’t his. Daniel chapter 1 verse 4 reveals that Daniel and his companions had a father in their home, that’s why they were blameless. They knew that they were loved, they understood science and they had skills. Skilling is from the father’s house. The reason why God loved the world is because it was fatherless.
Jesus warns us not to call any man your father: for one is your Father, which is in heaven and who is capable of loving you [Matthew 23:9]. The real meaning of a father is too fat and huge, and full of wisdom. Jesus said, In my Father’s house are many mansions… [John 14:2]; what is in your father’s house? Can you stand today and confidently say that in your father’s house there is wisdom, knowledge, understanding, good people? Jabez’s prayer reveals to us what was in their home. They were honourable people but Jabez was more honourable [1 Chronicles 4:9-10]. God answers prayers of honourable people. You must purpose to be more honourable.
As I conclude this text: we honour God with our thanksgiving, first fruits and substances. Psalms 50:23 says, Those who sacrifice thank offerings honor me… Brethren, I ask you to thank God that you are still alive. Give Him a sacrifice of thanksgiving. It’s in times of scarcity that God will say, why don’t you honour Me with thanksgiving? He doesn’t want to be honoured with lip service [Isaiah 29:13].
Friends, I have to end here and I pray that you have been blessed with this message. Thank you all for the special messages that you sent me on Father’s Day. Am really grateful.
