RECAP OF THE MARRIAGE TODAY RETREAT

Pr. Jessica Kayanja: I believe as believers that the word of God takes prominence in every situation. As I was listening to Pr. Grace Makoko’s testimony, my situation on the other hand is contrary: My mother was an educationalist while my father is a soft spoken humble man but very intelligent and we enjoyed that kind of step up.
When I got married, I found out that my husband was this strong man who was so authoritative which I wasn’t used too. It gave me some hard time during my early days of marriage. In this kind of arrangement, I found a man who was very strong and I prayed to God for His grace that through his decision making, he doesn’t make mistakes! Through prayer, I discovered that the authority my husband was using was from God and this was a kind of leadership quality that he had to use. I learnt to submit to him and my tune of voice had to reduce down. Ladies, before you shout at your husband, first pray to God that you can submit to him.

“Marriage is of God and if there’s any marriage expert we need as marrieds, it is the Holy Spirit. This year if your marriage has no marital home, you are getting one” ~ Dr. Robert Kayanja

Q&A: My husband is a pastor who is always in endless fasting. He is never at home and has his nights at church. Whenever he attempts to come home, he sleeps in either a duvet or with our three year old daughter?

Pr. Grace Makoko: I think one of the issues that the church hasn’t addressed, is the issue of sexuality in our homes. If we can get to that side that I have to separate myself and fast, and also being with your wife sexually is very important and “not sinful.” I come from a puritan family, and my husband got saved at the age of seven. Pastor, you have to meet the need of your wife!

Dr. Robert Kayanja: True, the church hasn’t addressed this issue of sexuality. “It’s a compounded lie, that if you are with your wife – the anointing leaves you:” You need to know the three “S” that are very important in marriage;
• S – Sex is part of marriage and its for married people.
• S- Success must be in marriage
• S- Sanctity
Infidelity/unfaithfulness may come into this marriage, expect if a man is impotent and doesn’t want to know. It’s very important, pastors to know what’s happening. I know fathers are attached to their daughters but expect you are the only one at home, its not a healthy environment for a father to sleep with her daughter in his marital bed. Even when she is sick, you go to her room; your daughter[s] must not see your chest. Men, our bodies raise up: their are morning guys, afternoon guys and evening guys.
“The puritan background isn’t bad, it was meant to keep us from sinning before marriage.”

Pr. Arthur Nsamba: The bible says in 1 Corinthians 7:5, Do not deprive one another except with consent for a time, that you may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again so that Satan does not tempt you because of your lack of self-control.
When we get married as men, sex is one of the needs in marriage. Different marriages have different consents like Pr. Jessica sowed Dr. Robert for an assignment in the 77 days of glory!

Q&A: How can I handle a situation when I realize I’m faced with a Hagar in my marriage and my husband has a child with her?
Q&A: How do you deal with infidelity in a long distance marriage?

Pr. Jessica: what do you do when realize that your husband has fallen in love with another woman?
1 Corinthians 13:4-5 reads, Love suffers long [and] is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil.

I want to first encourage a woman when your husband starts to go out with other women. The bible says that there was a certain beautiful woman called Abigail but at the same time it says, she was married to a foolish man [1 Samuel 25:2-3]. You have to go down on your knees and start to pray for your husband. The bible says in Ephesians 6:12, For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual [hosts] of wickedness in the heavenly [places.]
When a man is bound, he will leave a palace and go to a small room with a prostitute. In the Prayer Clinic, we deal with these Hagars and we send them into the wilderness where there’s no “WhatsApp, Phone calls, Facebook & Twitter or any form of communication.”
You have to believe God that your husband will change. Through prayer, God will speak to your husband just as He spoke to Abraham. In prayer, God will lead you to women who will speak into your life like Naomi & Ruth [Ruth 1:16-17]. The bible says in Titus 2:4-5 [NLT], These older women must train the younger women to love their husbands and their children, to live wisely and be pure, to work in their homes, to do good, and to be submissive to their husbands. Then they will not bring shame on the word of God. You old women speak to the young women!
My sister, you must add value to yourself and your self-esteem must be boosted . You must think and know that you are beautiful. In prayer, God will lead you through this. It all starts at the threshing knees. Faith works with love, you cannot win your husband by hating him at the same time.

Q&A: What do you do when you were legally married to your husband and down the road, you find out that he is now married to another woman, and when you do your investigations, this marriage wasn’t legal, and this man is a pastor?

Dr. Robert: why do you waste people’s time? You are violating the law and these laws will hook you when you are weak: Pastor, you are holding God’s law. You are holding the 66 books in your hands. Whatever you do to that woman, you will deal with it later. Let me tell you this, he’s my friend and he allowed me to talk about it. The divorce of Pr. BennyHinn almost dragged his ministry to nothing. He’s just recovering now. From an international ministry to an ordinary ministry. Another person was Nelson Mandela. The moment he divorced Winnie, the woman who fought for his release, he couldn’t even stand for a second term in office because people no longer believed in him. Don’t joke with covenants and that’s why it is very important to enter marriage when you are virgins because that’s when the first covenant is made.
Pastor, you are violating the laws of marriage. You violate the law of humanity and thirdly, you are hindering your success.
Marriage is the picture of the church. God said, “…and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it” [Matthew 16:18].

Take a look at “divorce and the devil”, they both start with “D”. Divorce is from the devil. Look at pastors who have stayed together and where their ministries are today; Billy Graham, Dr. Morris Cerullo, Bishop TD Jakes… Divorce is one thing that disqualifies and kicks us out of the game.

Three things God looks keenly at: Marriage, Children & the Church. With Marriage, He says in Mark 10:9, What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. To the Children, He said, But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and [that] he were drowned in the depth of the sea [Matthew 18:6]. And to the Church, He said, …I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it [Matthew 16:18]

There was a certain pastor who had a great ministry. He divorced his wife and kids and married another woman who was a Hollywood model. The first wife never left the church together with her children. Years later, this pastor developed lung cancer, and he could no longer preach. The church committee decided to appoint a young man to pastor the church and what this new pastor did, he married the daughter of this senior pastor. In a short period of time, the senior pastor passed on and his body was discovered five days later, when even the second wife wasn’t with him. A very powerful man of God died like an ordinary man. The new pastor later appointed his mother-in-law on his board and today the ministry has grown to 10,000 members. Divorce can hit any marriage at any time but you have to stand.

Q&A: I was a minister before I got married, and I don’t know whom to serve first between God & my husband. My husband is still a serving minister?

Pr. David Makoko: No one I can compare to as my wife; after every thing, I go back home to see my wife. I had an opportunity to stay with Pr. Robert & Jessica Kayanja and I learnt from them a lot. No one can love my wife and children for me, the church has Jesus! I have observed in ministry that you can’t claim to love your pastor and say you don’t love his wife yet the two are one! I rather make other people unhappy but my wife be happy. Fellow minister, don’t make your wife to be any other person. Your wife is your wife. You love your wife as Christ has loved the church [Ephesians 5:25]. Give your wife time, your wife should feel that she’s a priority. In all the 49 crusades, my wife has always supported me and has always been behind my back. Believers should know that when Pastor is talking to his wife, they shouldn’t interrupt them.

Dr. Robert: pastor, if you have developed a pattern of flow, I will advice you with what Pr. Jessica did, because ministry is so demanding. Pr. Jessica looked where she could fit in, she led a delegation that adopted street kids, then she joined rivers of life choir, then the music ministry and one day when I was overseas, she had to stand in the gap and she preached a powerful message which everyone was talking about. I never taught her how to make a sermon. Mistreating is unacceptable!

Q&A: Pastor, my brothers-in-laws expect us to live in the same country home?

Dr. Robert: Pr. David told us that whenever his sisters wanted to come in their home, his wife told him that she wasn’t ready. In-laws, get out of your relative’s marriages! Once a man has left his home & clings to his wife, they become one [Genesis 2:24]. Married women, don’t mess up your brother’s marriage: in-laws are squeezers and the husband should know that he has to leave a legacy for his family.

The Christmas Character-2

#Sunday Service, 27th-Dec-2020

The gospel of Luke chapter 1 & 2 reveals the events that surrounded the birth of Christ and Luke writes about them. Being a medical doctor, he talks about the pregnancy; that is, the time you take for the baby to be born, the baby where he was born and the condition he was put in. He then talks about the people that came to visit the baby because you either bring diseases to the baby or a blessing. Then he reveals the characters of those who were involved, and today I want us to focus on those characters Dr. Luke is revealing. Because a doctor can say you are either mad or hyper or you are losing your heart. Doctors will always give you a prescription.

In this text, Dr. Luke reveals several characters. He reveals Gabriel who is an angel from heaven. Then he reveals Herod, the king of the Jews. He reveals Joseph who was espoused to Mary. He reveals Elizabeth. Now if you are a medical doctor or a lawyer, you needed to know the DNA of all these people. That’s why Dr. Luke’s writing is so fascinating. He then reveals the shepherds, the wise men, Bethlehem, Egypt and so forth. Because of time, I will only labour to show you what happened to these names.

First is Gabriel. He is an angel from heaven and he introduces himself as “I am Gabriel, who stands in the presence of God” [Luke 1:19]. So, child of God, I really believe that the birth of Jesus means alot to us especially in this period of COVID-19, where everything you had started has died; every promise you expected has not been fulfilled. I have good news for you; you are about to birth something incredible; either it will be a business or an idea or income or new job, you are gonna birth something. Anyone here pregnant? Get ready you are about to deliver your baby; your baby of progress, your baby of life and miracles. Something is about to get out of you by the help of God.

Mary didn’t give birth by herself and no man touched her but she gave birth to a baby. How can a virgin give birth to a baby? [Luke 1:34]. It is the same thing with Elizabeth. How could an old lady give birth to a baby? It’s because of the presence of the power of God; it’s because of Gabriel. Today, as you finish 2020, God is sending you an angel. God is sending you help and divine power. You will be able to produce that which will rule and reign and overcome the world. Someone, “shout Hallelujah and Glory be to God…” It’s time to get pregnant by the power of God. And Gabriel said, “With God nothing is impossible” [Luke 1:37]; the barren shall produce; you without a business, you are gonna produce; you who had no capital to start a company, you are gonna start your own company; you had no wisdom, you are about to become clever; you who didn’t have a car, you are about to drive; I don’t know whom I am talk too, but something wonderful is about to happen to you. Mary didn’t deliver her baby in London hospital where things are fine. Her situation was worse. There was a census [counting people] and she gave birth [Luke 2:1-7]. In the hardest of times, you are about to come up with an idea with the help of God. You are about to come up with a solution. So, that is Gabriel, a character of impossibilities. Whatever is impossible, it is possible right now.

Luke doesn’t stop there; he goes to Herod. This character Herod kills all the babies [Matt 2:16]. Why do you kill babies? Because in twenty years, these will become tax payers. Child of God, every news you hear, shaking or challenging, or someone is rivaling you, don’t think about killing them. Sit back and realize that the only one among everybody could be against me, so why should I kill everyone, because those very people you kill today, are the very ones who would have paid taxes tomorrow. Child of God, when God wants to take you to another level, He will give you challenges that will come after your reputation, character and your income. Herod was the king and had the kingdom. Jesus on the other hand had become a tourist attraction and that was money coming in. Brethren, open your eyes and see. Even though someone is challenging your business or life, you just improve, because after people see your work, they will stick to you and hence you will be smarter. Listen to this: the wise men came looking for a new born king not knowing that there was an old king. Herod would have invited these kings and showed himself; David was my great great father and let me show you the history. This is what is happening in my kingdom, but instead, he instructed to kill the babies. Don’t kill anybody but turn them around and make them taxpayers; let them become tourist attractions. Right now, our farm was nominated among the top ten farms in the country for the year 2020, but do you know who are operating and managing it? These are the former kifeesi boys who got saved in the 77 days of glory. Everybody wanted to kill them and or throw them to jail, but God said, “Give them to me, take them to the farm and they will become farmers and managers.” Never take the challenge as a whole 100% negative. That’s the character of Herod.

Then there’s a Joseph. He was to be forced to take care of Mary; please don’t be afraid to take Mary as your wife [Matt 1:19-20]. But what did Joseph have? The man was just a carpenter with his carpentry overall and a pen at his ear. He had no gold and nobody knew him. Joseph was a holy man but also engaged to a woman who attracts angels and kings. His wife Mary could attract angels [Luke 1:28]. Child of God, you must understand your value. You are more valuable than those putting you down. You can attract a conversation between heaven and earth. I don’t know who I am talking to, and you are not an ordinary person. They threatened to leave you, let them go; the pregnancy is already here. I said, “the pregnancy is already here.” Whether they want to leave, let them leave because what you have in the inside of you is greater than yesterday and your tomorrow. You have something in the inside of you, and those who want to leave, let them leave. The pregnancy is already in; the new dream is already in; the new job is already in. Joseph said, “I will leave this girl and they will not know.” He is driven by public opinions and what people say! He wants to please people that he is a tough guy who doesn’t tolerate nonsense and he is also strict. Keep your strictness. Keep your manners, for the pregnancy is already in, and I am bearing a child of God.

Another character is Mary. They ask questions and once God is involved, they leave the questions and grab what He has said. Once it’s of the Holy Spirit, you must stop asking questions and just do what you have been told to do [Luke 1:34-36]. Some of us ask questions recklessly. Yes, Lord, you said I will get married but am now 40 years old, how will that happen? You said, they will introduce me….? Now you have reached a point if heaven answers the first question, take your miracle by faith, for “the kingdom of God suffers violence and the violent take it by force” [Matt 11:12]. It’s time for you to receive and to be whole for the glory of God. When somebody comes to you and says, “I want to marry you” and then you ask, when are you visiting, and he says tomorrow; then you say, “are you really serious and are you coming? Don’t lie to me and if you are coming, how many people are coming with you? What are you bringing and at what time are you arriving? You know my people are very punctual, how are you going to be dressed?” Ok… then you switch off the phone, and again you call back immediately and ask, okay, how are you going to be dressed? Hello, the man will leave you. You are asking him many questions with no affirmation.

Then there’s Elizabeth. The moment Mary came greeting, her babe leaped. Elizabeth was full of the Holy Spirit and she began to prophesy. She said, “how come the mother of my LORD has visited me?” [Luke 1:39-44]. Jesus was only one day old in the womb. There was no sign of the pregnancy but Elizabeth knew that such a voice, Gabriel had visited there. Such a coming, must be a confirmation that their family has been chosen. People of God, you don’t need people who look at you and say, “aha, tell me”; how did you get that pregnancy? How did you get that money? How did you get that idea? Have you been sleeping with Joseph? You don’t need people who are quizzing you about your next level. You need people who will rejoice with you and when they are full of the Holy Ghost. May God give you twenty Elizabeths. May God give you people who understand. Do you know how you are gonna get it? You shall get it because Elizabeth knows what Gabriel does. Never go to anybody who doesn’t believe in your God. Anybody who doesn’t believe in your God never ask them for advice. Never ask them for a solution. The moment you know that they don’t believe like you do, no matter whether they are professors or scientists, don’t ask them. Ask those who believe like you because you will start prophesying. Mary heard those words and she started prophesying and she said, “My soul doth magnify the Lord” [Luke 1:46]. Child of God, you don’t need to be pushed at questioning levels. And if you want to be in a place of worship, you need an Elizabeth.

Another category are the Shepherds. These characters amaze me. You know Mary, this being her first born and Joseph, they don’t know what pregnant women go through. When a woman is pregnant and expecting, she always packs her suitcase four – five times a month. She also packs her suitcase before she goes for labor, not because she is going to Dubai. Mary packed nothing yet it was winter and baby Jesus was born. Listen to this child of God, they had to use swaddling cloths and they put him in a manger [Luke 2:7]. Jesus was freezing to death then the angel realized that they had shepherds there, whom they had given business of taking care of lambs which are used in service to cover people’s sins. Then the angel went to them and told them, there is a baby who is born in Bethlehem but he is freezing to death, can you help us with your wool…they hesitated. Even the choir of heaven was called to sing for these shepherds, and the bible says, when the angel went back, these shepherds got up and they went and they gave no wool, not even leather to the baby, just lousy shepherds. Child of God, whenever something has happened or has been born which is going to change the world, if you don’t participate with your profession, confession, trade and skill, your group will never be used in the future. Jesus never used these shepherds to become his disciples, that’s why He went to fishermen; He even went to prostitutes like Mary Magdalene and the woman of Samaria yet the shepherds who understood the lamb and the blood were there. Sometimes we want to please people such that they can join us. Child of God, stop that game of pleasing man, status quo and the establishment. Had angel Gabriel gone to the next door and asked for a garment, they would have given it to him. Jesus nearly died when these guys were holding their wool. For them, they saw Him as the Lamb of God. They didn’t know that Jesus was going to use their lambs at the age of twelve and take it to Jerusalem. He was here to support their business but they wanted him dead. Child of God, if you start pleasing people, you will freeze to death. Your business will freeze to death because they look at you as a competitor or challenger. Some of you have men who want to marry you and they think that they are helping you. You love him so much that you even want to remove seeds from his watermelon because you are trying to please him. You cook for him food and he says that there is too much salt. You iron his clothes and he says, why did you touch my shirt here; never iron my clothes like this. Such people you cook them “cow-head soup and you put in a bowl of red hot pepper”, he will call his dead mother ten times. Stop pleasing people. Those shepherds aren’t the ones you’re looking for. The wise men are the ones you’re waiting for.

Child of God, that is exactly what happened. When the wise men came,OMG. Do you know why they were so special? They brought the gold, frankincense and myrrh. They brought everything and even worshipped. They never asked questions, “Mary, how did you get pregnant? What is the lineage of this King? Tell us, where did He come from?” For them they said, “we saw the star.” Do you know what makes them wise? Wise people cut through the nonsense. They stick to what brought them. A wise person comes with what brought him and delivers it. Herod tried to bribe them and they refused. They never went back, they went another way. They told Joseph, here is the gold, take the mother and the baby to Egypt. Right now there’s a man who wants to kill the baby [Matt 2:1-14]. Wisdom is close to prophecy. If you really want to know people who are wise, they will not just prophecy, they will give you direction and the power to go through that direction. When they tell you to go to Egypt, they will give you the money to take you there. If someone is a good person in your life, he will not only give you advice but he will also enable you. In other words, He will become your enabler. He will say to you, do you want to do farming, here is the cow; you want to start the shop, here is the money for the license. The reason why these men were wise is because all their lives, they were looking up, looking for the star and by the time they looked down, they saw what they were looking for. Every time you put your eyes on God, by the time you look down, your mercedes benz will be there; your baby will be there;your king will be there; your income will be there. Stop looking at the ground and look up. Psalms 121:1-2 says, I will lift up my eyes to the hills— From whence comes my help? My help [comes] from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth. Stop looking down and to people. Look to Jesus, He is the author and finisher of your faith. Not me, not you, not your aunt, not anybody, look to Jesus. And that is what Jesus left for the disciples. As He was ascending to heaven, they all looked up and the angel said, why do you look up, go to Jerusalem. Every time you look up, there will be a voice from heaven which will give you direction where to go; how to do your business and where to put your business. Every time we look up, we will hear direction and empowerment and we shall be able to go where we are supposed to go.

As I conclude: Christmas comes to reveal characters so that you may know who is about to give birth who to work with. I recommend you to work with Gabriel because he comes from the Father. May the Lord give you a Gabriel today. Work with Joseph, though he was forced, but he stayed in there. Work with Mary, Elizabeth and the wise men, and the rest will be history. May God help you deliver the great thing in your life.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, in the mighty name of Jesus, I am ready to go to another level. Oh my LORD, my Father, my Savior, my Redeemer and my King, now i look unto You. You are my Source, my Hope and my Life. I look unto You from today, my God, my beginning and my end. I understand, i have a pregnancy and i am about to give birth to that which will change the world, my family, my home, my nation to Your name Lord, to Your glory Lord, i bless Your name. You’re awesome God. Heal my body, family and home. Let Your angel appear to my family and business in Jesus’ name, amen!

The Christmas Characters

#Christmas message, 25-12-2020

The gospel of Luke chapter 1 & 2 reveal to us the seven characters of humanity. Luke was a medical doctor. Doctors have a way they approach issues, they are like soldiers. They examine everything in detail. What they write down, you can’t understand it but they do. So, Luke looked at the situation of the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ and he concluded by writing about seven characters revealing what was going on in people’s lives.

Luke being a doctor understood what women go through during pregnancy and he wrote about it. The first character Luke writes about is Mary. When Mary said to the angel, How can this be, since I do not know a man?” Luke wrote about it [Luke 1:34]. Since doctors deal with many things, when Mary asked Gabriel, “what manner of greetings that was” [Luke 1:29], Luke invoked the presence of God in his text. Luke 1:19, And the angel answering said unto him, I am Gabriel, that stand in the presence of God The Mary character says, I am the Lord’s servant, May it be unto me according to your word” [Luke 1:38]. The Mary character asks questions and once God is involved, they leave the questions and grab what He has said.

The second character was Joseph who was forced to take care of his wife, Mary. Then there was Elizabeth, the third character. She was an old woman. She couldn’t conceive but this woman waited for God. I don’t know how long you have waited for your miracle, but this woman waited for her miracle. She said, God, You need a son, I also need a son too. The Elizabeth character says, I wait for you Lord, I don’t know who You are sending but I am waiting for you. I don’t care if you’re sending Mary Magdalene but I am waiting for my miracle [Luke 1:36]. Zacharias, her husband, was blessing Israel but they had no child. Beloved, when Mary visited Elizabeth, Elizabeth, the babe leaped in her womb [Luke 1:41].  You need to have real friends. And may God give you real ones. When Mary had conceived, she told Elizabeth, and she asked her to come and visit her. You need people who will believe in you.

The other character were the shepherds. When Mary’s days were accomplished that she should be delivered, she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn [Luke 2:6-7]. Thank God that the baby survived winter. The angel went to the shepherds; remember these are the people who take care of sheep, meaning they had wool. But they came empty handed. The shepherds had wool, had heard the choir of heaven singing but they never took the wool. The shepherds are cold people even when you do good for them.

Saints, we have to transit. We can’t be the same people as we used to be. God is going to do great things in our lives. These shepherds refused to transit. No wonder Jesus never called any of them as his disciples. Instead He went to tax collectors, thieves, murderers and fishermen. You’re the leader of tomorrow. Saints, you must transit [Luke 2:8-18].

Another character are the wise men. Listen to this: Herod killed the babies who were going to pay taxes for his kingdom. In fact one baby brought three kings. Child of God, never be threatened by what is surrounding you because you’re already on the throne. Herod was afraid for nothing; he would have finished his time as the baby was growing. No baby can reign on a throne. You’re here and don’t be threatened by these young people because they are going to bring you tourists. May God bring you wise men. The three wise men brought gold, silver and myrrh. Be careful about who advises and encourages you. The wise men came in as an eye of encouragement. May God give you wise men and women in your life. The bible says, after they gave, they used a different route for their return journey.

Christmas reveals characters. Are you a shepherd character or a wise man? Are you Elizabeth character or Joseph? Are you Mary or Herod who slaughtered babies?

Joseph found himself in Egypt. Bethlehem was his hometown but the bible doesn’t state anywhere that he visited any of his relatives. Even his carpentry shop needed rehabilitation. May God perform for you miracles that you will not have to look back, and that is the purpose of Christmas, my fellow Ugandans.

As I conclude: Father, in the name of Jesus, you’re our Savior, comforter and deliverer. Jesus, we are ready to transit. We will praise you. We are one of those wise men. We are the Elizabeths, the Marys, the Josephs. You COVID-19 get out of our lives. We are on our way to international transitions. The wisdom of God surrounds us. May God bring us encouragers. What an awesome and mighty God we serve. Lord, You are raising us in this nation. We love you Jesus. Worship Jesus in your own words. Say, Father, we are grateful and you’re changing our lives.

This Sunday (Dec-27th), you will receive the anointing oil so that you can anoint your family on 31st-Dec during our Crossover e-power packed miracle overnight which will be aired on Channel 44 TV and the Robert Kayanja Ministries media platforms.
