Overcoming the Giant

#Honour: Monday Night, June-15-2020

We are studying about Honour, the fifth spirit of God according to Revelation 5:12. God tells us to Honour Him with our wisdom, and our substance [Proverbs 3:9]. He tells us to honour Him and He will honour us [1 Samuel 2:30]. In most cases honour and glory work together. God gave us the seven spirits in a sequence: power, riches, wisdom, strength, honour, glory and blessing. Power makes us to become sons of God according to John 1:12, and we also become witnesses according to Acts 1:8. Riches – you need money because it answers all things [Ecclesiastes 10:19]. Whatever question you have, money will answer it though it might not give you a solution because it’s God who gives solutions. Money gives answers but not solutions. In life you need solutions not answers, that’s why Jesus came and He gave us His identity.

When we honour God, we get solutions. Education gives answers yet learning gives solutions. When God told to the Hebrews to remember Him for bringing them out of Egypt, He was giving them a solution [Deuteronomy 8:2]. When God said in 2 Chronicles 7:14, If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land, He was not giving answers but solutions. We need Him to come down. We need Him to heal our land. There’s a difference between treating and healing. Treating is the answer but healing is the solution. That’s why He says, “…for I [am] the LORD that healeth thee” [Exodus 15:26]. If you turn away from your wicked ways, Prayer and Repentance are the solutions. Therefore, we get solutions from the presence of God.

When we are dealing with Honour, we are able to defeat the giants in our lives. Apostle Paul says, there’s a sin that entangles us [Hebrews 12:1], and that sin is the first giant. The second giant is forgetting. We forget where we came from and why we are here. The third giant is lack of faith. We are dealing with a thief who comes to steal [John 10:10]. He steals faith from us yet faith is the substance, and we honour God with substance [Proverbs 3:9]. Giant four is sight. You always look at things around you and you lose faith because they scare you. If your sight doesn’t turn into vision, you will be worried. That’s why Jesus tells us to have faith as a mustard seed, because with that faith, you will command a mountain and it will move [Matthew 17:20].

The problem you are having today will move because it has to honour God. COVID-19 is coming to an end and it has to die because we stand in faith and we know that our Lord is CAPABLE. You will go through the storm. The fifth giant is your environment. What is surrounding you has dictated your life because of the title you hold, that you cannot even praise God. Circumstances have a way they enter into your environment and reduce you to nothing. Circumstances can attack your mind and take away your spirit which is your joy. Once you know who you’re and whose you’re, you can defeat that giant. The things we face in life are temporal. COVID-19 is temporal.

The circumstances you’re facing are gigantic that’s why you have to overcome those five giants. Situations and circumstances will reveal who you’re, and the kind of person you’re. Circumstances are like mountains. You have to despise those circumstances and look at them as temporal. Circumstances have a way of revealing the evil in us. Brethren, the position you have been given is a seed that reveals what kind of soil you’re. Greatness is revealed in such situations. These circumstances attack your mind and body. They attacked Cain and he killed his brother.

BURUNDI’S NKURUNZIZA: FATHER OF NATION, PREACHER AND FARMER

It is a heart wrecking  feeling that comes with the bad news of the passing of my dear friend, H.E The President of Burundi, Pierre Nkurunziza.

I talked to him on phone a number of days ago about the fake news that’s been  circulating on social media that his wife, Sister Denise Bucumi had contracted COVID-19. With a laugh, he told me that they were both free and that she was just receiving treatment for a condition of which I already have been aware. We then  talked about the transition from presidency to fathering and about the school I built in Kayanza province.

We talked about the need to preach the gospel of our  Lord Jesus Christ and he told me about a crusade he was preparing for this weekend.

This man was a student of good change, dedicated to see that kind of change in Africa’s poorest nation. As his name, Nkurunziza (Good news), so has he been to his country. He built a revolutionary Liberation Movement and became the  Minister of Good Governance to his country. He ushered the country into democracy when he organized and won the first democratic polls ever to be held in Burundi.

A fighter, liberator, leader, preacher, reformer, a father of a nation, a sportsman and a coup d’etat crusher, but my friend couldn’t survive a heart attack! What happened?

I remember a time when I visited him with some friends  from Asia. We were received by Ambassador Albert Nasasagare, who took us to lunch. The president had a football match to play that day, so when we were taken to meet him, we found him in his boots and team jersey during halftime, yet still ready to strategize on national issues for his nation. What a man!

A great gospel dancer and marvelous composer with songs like warakoze Imana Hari’ igihe nzokwilara nkurara I thank you ncurara-nguru daco. There is a time I will sit down and thank God.

He was a talent here on earth, so honorable and willingly gave to God. He’s right now been recruited in the heavenly choir and hes there singing  in Kirundi, my friend, sing! Mr. Presido, wiicare.

Just before he came to close the meeting in Ngozi and to address the crowd among whom miracles had taken place, a little child who was badly crippled and whose mother  sat in the market place using him as a beggar’s tool, was miraculously healed, stood up and walked – Making the prophetic statement that crippled  Burundi can now walk.

My brother Pierre, as president, you broke the curse that plagued Burundi since independence from Nyagoshore to Ndadaye. Before Nkurunziza, no one stayed in power for three years. You broke that.

After having done all that, this is not the way to vacate. You did what the legendary Nelson Mandela did but sadly, you have gone too soon. You are in my generation; just three years young than me. After four hundred years of slavery, after you have seen  the future of Burundi emerge, a few days after we had talked about what to do after COVID-19 lockdown – this is not the way to vacate.

Did you know this was coming? Did you know you were leaving? You prepared your wife to be a pastor, your political party to honor God and your nation to practice democracy and continuity. Why does greatness disappear so quickly?

I received a presidential  from invitation President Nkurunziza to go address Burundi’s cabinet on ‘the way forward for a growing nation’ and to hold a crusade for five days and a conference for four days in Ngozi. I took the best I had.

While there, the Lord told me to pick up a vessel – a bowl designed with glass and gold as an example to Burundi. That Sunday evening, I presented it to the public and to the president, both as a revelation and also as a prophesy of where Burundi has been and where it was headed, to become a vessel of honor. Pierre Nkurunziza has been a vessel of Honour.

“For you have been the glass and gold vessel valuable and transparent.”

In fifty five years, you touched the world, you touched lives and you loved God.

My friend, I remember the following year, I was under severe attacks of terrible accusation by pastors and their recruits. They even called and told you about how ‘evil’ I was, and advised you never to work with me again but you refused to go by what they told you. Instead, you called and told me all about it. You loved and believed in me.

The very week I was heavily investigated, ridiculed  and attacked, you invited me to Burundi and we broke ground for a new school. What a leader! What a man! President Nkurunziza never called me Pastor, not even Robert Kayanja. He called me ‘MY FRIEND.’

You visited our church, planted a tree and preached at the Miracle Centre Cathedral. Your great wisdom, big footsteps, love for our Lord Jesus Christ, your solidarity for Africa and National Patriotism for Burundi will be told for generations. We will tell generations that you left Burundi much better than you found it.

Did you know this was coming!

Your last speech to the Government Leaders was like Moses’ last words to Israel.

To my sister Denise, the former  first lady of Burundi and a pastor, the Nkurunziza  family, the nation of Burundi and her people, Be strong in the lord and in the power of God’s might. He will keep you and make His face shine upon you.

You have my prayers and Uganda loves You

My friend you did well fare thee well

Principles of Honouring God

#Sunday Night: June-14-2020

When you honour God, He honours you too [1 Samuel 2:30]. You honour Him with your substance. God wants your substance even if it’s 1%. He wants your quality and quantity in substance. He wants your faith and discipline.

Saints, God gives us wisdom to honour Him. That’s why He gave us His seven spirits [Revelation 5:12]. Power – to establish His covenant according to Deuteronomy 8:18. Riches – to carry out His plan. He gives us riches so that we can be obedient. Then Wisdom – the wise win souls [Proverbs 11:30]. You need Strength which is built in three areas; spirit, soul and body. Those who know their God shall be strong [Daniel 11:32]. Then comes Honour. You honour God with your substance [Proverbs 3:9]. You honour Him and He honours you [1 Samuel 2:30]. Then Glory, and Blessing. You become a blessing to Generations, and this is the blessing that keeps on blessing.

God said, whosoever honours Me, I will honour. We need to honour God when we are still alive and with what we have. Allow me to use a man whom we all know, the fallen president of Burundi. He was a man of humility and one who honoured God. I know that heaven celebrated his homecoming. He danced for the LORD, preached the gospel, knelt down on his knees and prayed for his nation. That seed will not die.

Isaiah 60:9 says, Surely the coastlands shall wait for Me; And the ships of Tarshish [will come] first, To bring your sons from afar, Their silver and their gold with them, To the name of the LORD your God, And to the Holy One of Israel, Because He has glorified you. Those are promises when you honour God. When God honours you, wealth unspoken and glory will come to you.

May people see what you are doing with your mouth and hands and they will glorify God. We were born to live and to give. The scripture says, For we brought nothing into [this] world, [and] [it is] certain we can carry nothing out [1 Timothy 6:7]. You were born to give and you have to give something.

As I conclude: Heavenly Father, help us to honour You in everything we do. Give us an opportunity to honour You. Give us ability to honour You. You are the ONLY God we can confide in.

Friends, I allow me to end here and I believe you have been blessed with this message.
